Some lingering pregnancy Anxiety.?
Okay, I decided to put his here and not in men’s health because the only posts there are from 13 year olds asking if their 17 inch penis is big enough.
Anyway. Me (17) and my girlfriend (16) started having sex about a month ago. We are using Encare in conjunction with Trojan condoms. I pull out every time even with the condom and wash up right after have sex.
We have only had sex three times and I’m sure we are fine, she is showing no signs of symptoms and the only thing that worries me is her periods. She has really irregualer periods and can do 3+ months without anything and then two will hit right after each other. My girlfriend, her mother, and her grandmother both have these weird periods.
I’m pretty sure that we are fine, but I just felt like I needed a second opinion or words of encouragement. Ironically the song “Everything will be alright” by the Killers just started playing.
I think it’s awesome that your doing everyting in your power to prevent an unwanted pregnancy. There needs to be more couples like you in this world.
Irregular periods are a pain. I’ve had them and experianced many of the same anxieties as you and your partner are facing.
I suggest taking a pregnancy test, just to be safe. You can go to the dollar store and get one, it doesn’t really matter. All pregnancy tests are designed to seek out the same thing, the HGC hormone in urine so you don’t need to spend 10 dollars on a top-o-the-line test.
Once you get the results from the test, she may want to consult her doctor about getting on birth control to regulate her period. If she’s already on birth control, or this isn’t an option, her doctor can ‘force’ her period.
They did this for me so I know it’s possible. Once her period is ‘forced’, she should start to become regular. If not, they can put her on a simple pill to take every 28 days to ‘force’ her period, and this will make her regular.
