AMD releases two new Ryzen 9 series 4000 processors: 8-core 16-threaded battle against Core i9

On March 17, AMD brought two more high-end Ryzen 9 4900H and Ryzen 9 4900HS processors, benchmarking Intel notebooks with Core i9 processors.


Among them, the Ruilong 9 4900H uses an 8-core 16-thread design, a base frequency of 3.3GHz, a maximum frequency of 4.4GHz, an integrated Vega GPU, and a TDP 45W.

The Ryzen 9 4900HS also uses an 8-core and 16-thread design, with a base frequency of 3.0 GHz and a maximum frequency of 4.3 GHz. It has an integrated Vega GPU and TDP 35W.

In AMD tests, the 4900HS is 28% higher than Intel's Core i9-9880H in Cinebench R20 (using CPU to render complex images), 23% video transcoding, 56% image rendering, and 32% audio encoding.

Some readers may wonder why the higher-end HS series TDP is lower than the main frequency. In fact, the Ryzen 4000HS is reduced to 35W while maintaining the same specifications, because they use special high-quality chips, but the actual performance Win.

AMD announced that the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 will debut with the Ryzen 9 4900HS.
