Apple introduced the new MacBook Pro 13 with a reliable keyboard and new processors

The new CPU is only applicable to the old version. Well, another confirmation that not all rumours and leaks are lies and idle talk, right in front of us. Just an hour ago, insider Jon Prosser said that Apple will introduce a new laptop today, and Apple really did.

So, let's start with the most important thing. The novelty is called the MacBook Pro 13, which means that it has retained its dimensions, unlike the older version, which got a 16-inch screen instead of a 15-inch one. For some, it will be a plus, for someone it will be a minus, but we have what we have.

As expected, the new MacBook Pro 13 will receive a Magic Keyboard, that is, now absolutely all current Apple mobile PCs have such a keyboard. Another important point - the volume of SSD is doubled in all configurations. The base is now 256 GB, and the maximum is 4 TB. Also, older modifications in the database are equipped with 16 GB of RAM, while the maximum is 32 GB, and the frequency is increased to 3733 MHz.

But with processors, everything is a little more complicated. MacBook Pro 13 really switched to 10-nanometer Intel Ice Lake CPUs, but this applies only to older versions. The basic ones are still equipped with the eighth-generation Core processors: four-core Core i5 or Core i7 with frequencies up to 3.9 and 4.5 GHz, respectively. At the same time, you cannot select the Ice Lake CPU for the basic versions in the configurator.

The tenth-generation version of the quad-core Core i5 starts at $ 1800, and you can get a Core i7 of the same generation for an extra charge of $ 300. I am glad that at the same time the prices remained the same. The laptop starts at $ 1,300, the older version is priced at $ 2,000, and the configurator allows you to assemble a top-end device with a Core i7 generation of Ice Lake, 32 GB of RAM and 4 TB SSDs for $ 3600.
