DJI Mavic Air 2 drone found serious problems

The video is very unstable and the image is obviously twitching. In late April, DJI launched the Mavic Air 2 folding drone, which is expected to transform the Mavic Air market. After the comments surfaced, people knew that DJI Mook Air 2 was in serious trouble. After the comments appeared, people knew that DJI Mavic Air 2 had serious problems.

DJI Mavic Air 2 drone found serious problems

The manufacturer attributed the 8K Hyperlapse mode to one of the key features of DJI Mavic Air 2, in which the drone can take a series of shots during the flight, and then combine these frames into spectacular videos. Moreover, all processing is performed by the drone itself, the user does not need to do anything.

Mavic Air 2 received a camera with a 1 / 2-inch sensor with a resolution of 48 megapixels, which allows you to create a time-lapse video with 8K resolution, but we found some problems in the test. First of all, the generated video is very unstable and the image is obviously shaking. In addition, the minimum time interval for the UAV to take photos at 8K resolution in this mode is up to 6 seconds, and when the 1080p resolution is selected, the time interval is 2 seconds. For some reason, drones are not allowed to play time-lapse videos at 4K resolution.

The problem will not be solved there, because in some cases the resulting video may be damaged. The reason is the capture method because the DJI Mavic Air 2 uses four 12-megapixel photos combined. Sometimes this causes the fact that some video editing programs cannot detect or display up to 2 of the 4 source images. Only Adobe Premiere Pro can complete this job without problems.

Finally, the image in the frame when selecting 8K / 25fps is not as bright as when using 4K / 30fps.
